The super food which we are talking about is Big Thyme Leaf Chutney. Before knowing the health benefits of this recipe i would like to share with you people that my mother used to make this recipe in my childhood days whenever i have respiratory infections like cold, cough, fever, allergies, skin infections and she would force me to eat this to get rid of the health problems, but i used to hate this food and after lot of scoldings i would finally eat it with heavy heart.
But now after gaining a lot of knowledge about the health benefits of this recipe, i would like to share this recipe with you people so that you will come to know how good this recipe is for our health and how it is beneficial in our wellbeing journey.
Thyme is widely used in folk medicine to treat various conditions like cold, asthama, bronchitis, constipation, headache, fever, cough and certain skin diseases including minor allergies. it is also found to be effective against cardiovascular, oral, skin, urinary diseases, digestive and respiratory diseases.It is also called as broad leaf thyme.
So we came to know the health benefits of Big Thyme, now let me share you one of the recipe which you can make easily at home and the recipe name is BIG THYME CHUTNEY.
Please note down the below list of ingredients required to make this recipe.
Ingredients:
- Almonds
- Cashew
- Thyme Leaves
- Channa Dal-
- Urad Dal-
- Red Chilli
- Pepper
- Grated Coconut
- Salt
- Tamarind
- Jaggery
Method:
- To a pan add channa dal and fry till golden brown and transfer it to a plate.
- Next add urad dal and fry and transfer it to plate.
- Now fry red chills and pepper corn and transfer it to plate.
- Add thyme leaves and fry little bit till it becomes soft.
- Add grated coconut to it and fry little then add all the roasted items and mix well.
- Allow it to cool down.
- Now add salt, tamarind, jaggery to the plate.
- Now Transfer all the ingredients in the plate to a grinder and grind into paste.
- Transfer it into a bowl.
- Now add tadka to it.
- Healthy big thyme chutney is ready to be served with chapathi, dosa or rice.
